WPT Ambassador Brad Owen Makes PPC Debut at 2025 WSOP

Summary:
- Brad Owen has entered the $50K Poker Players Championship for the first time, marking the biggest buy-in of his career.
- The poker vlogger sold 70% of his action at a discount so fans can support his journey.
- Owen has won a H.O.R.S.E. tournament and has had multiple WSOP cashes in non-Hold’em formats.
Brad Owen, one of the most recognizable faces in the world of poker vlogging and an eight-year ambassador for the World Poker Tour, is stepping into unfamiliar waters at the 2025 World Series of Poker.
Known for his down-to-earth vlogs and often seen alongside fellow content creator Andrew Neeme, Owen officially jumped into the $50,000 Poker Players Championship on Tuesday, one of the most prestigious events on the WSOP calendar.
This is, by far, the biggest stage he has ever been on yet, and a major milestone in his poker journey.
“I Sold 70% of Myself”
Owen, who has built a massive following on YouTube with over 780,000 subscribers, entered the tournament during Level 2 on Day 1.
While he’s no stranger to high-stakes No-Limit Hold’em, this marks his debut in the PPC, a mixed-game marathon widely seen as poker’s ultimate challenge.
I don’t think there’s any tournament more prestigious than this one. Nine different variations of poker, against the best in the world, massive buy-in. So, this is kind of the dream I didn’t even know I had until recently.
Although Owen is still relatively new to the mixed-game scene, he’s quickly gaining traction. Last December, he picked up his first significant mixed-game title by winning the $2,200 H.O.R.S.E. event at the WPT World Championship, earning over $60,000.
That win gave him valuable experience in five of the nine games played in the PPC.
“It’s just a cool way for me to give the fans a sweat” Owen said of selling 70% of his action at a discounted rate.
I sold 70% of myself at a markdown, 0.9. These guys are better than me. I’m not trying to fleece my audience. I always try to take the best care of them I can, and I’m just grateful they’re supporting me with this journey.
Owen Wants to “Contribute to Growing the Game”
Owen has already cashed nine times at this year’s WSOP, with three of those coming in non-Hold’em formats, proof that his mixed-game chops are steadily improving.
Still, the PPC is a whole new level of competition, drawing some of the most elite and experienced players in the world.
“I just hope I can help contribute to growing the game”, the co-owner of The Lodge Card Club in Austin and San Antonio added.
All these guys have been really friendly to me. They know I’m the least experienced player in the field, but I can get a lot of eyeballs on it.
With $1.16 million in live earnings to date, Owen’s run in this year’s PPC is not only another bullet fired, but a bold new chapter in his evolving career.
