Summary:

  • Daniel Negreanu, Alex Foxen, Maurice Hawkins and Josh Reichard have all reached the final table of a $600 WSOP event.
  • Hawkins is chasing his first World Series of Poker bracelet despite holding a record 25 WSOP Circuit rings.
  • The winner will take home $204,140 from a field of 3,332 entrants.

One of the most stunning final tables of the 2026 World Series of Poker is set to play out in Las Vegas, with a lineup featuring some of the biggest names in the game battling for a bracelet in a $600 buy in event.

Impressive Poker Stars Gathering

Event #28, a Deepstack No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha Mixed tournament, attracted 3,332 entries and generated a prize pool that will award $204,140 to the winner.

While large field events often produce surprise finalists, this tournament has delivered a dream lineup packed with poker stars.

Leading the headlines is Maurice Hawkins, the most successful player in WSOP Circuit history. Hawkins captured his record 25th Circuit ring just last month and now has an opportunity to achieve something that has eluded him throughout his career: winning a World Series of Poker bracelet.

Despite recording over 300 WSOP cashes across Circuit and non-Circuit events, the bracelet is not not part of Hawkins’ résumé. He enters the final table fifth in chips and is guaranteed at least $18,854.

Standing in his way are several of poker’s most accomplished players. Josh Reichard, another legendary Circuit grinder, begins the final table with the chip lead at 21 million. Brent Gregory sits close behind with 19.45 million.

Also still in contention are high-stakes superstars Daniel Negreanu and Alex Foxen. Negreanu, one of the most recognizable figures in poker, starts seventh in chips with 4.65 million, while Foxen enters fourth with 13.3 million.

Into the Spotlight

The combination of elite tournament professionals, accomplished Circuit specialists and major storylines has drawn significant attention throughout the poker community. In response to the star power, WSOP officials decided to move the final table to a livestreamed feature stage.

For Hawkins, the spotlight presents a chance to add the one achievement missing from an already historic career. For Negreanu and Foxen, it is another opportunity to add to their impressive poker legacies.

With four of the game’s most accomplished competitors still in contention and over $200,000 waiting to be scooped up by the winner, the final table promises to be one of the most closely watched moments of this year’s World Series of Poker.
