Caribbean Poker Party Starts Friday With $22m In GTD Prize Money

If you are a poker player and are looking for a reason to vacation in the Caribbean, you have just found a great one. partypoker will be hosting its Caribbean Poker Party which features a combined guaranteed prize pool of $22 million.

The Caribbean Poker Party (CPP) will take place from Nov 9 to Nov 17 at the popular Baha Mar casino resort in the Bahamas. The scheduled is packed with a number of exciting events including high roller events and the Main Event which has millions in prize money on the line.

MILLIONS World For High Rollers

Many of the top high rollers in the game are expected to make their way down to the Bahamas as the CPP has some really cool high roller events. The poker party will kick off with the MILLIONS World event that comes with a $25,500 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $10 million.

The 2017 edition of this event also had a $25,500 buy-in but the guaranteed prize pool last year was just $1 million. The event saw a total of 42 player registrations and would eventually go on to be won by Chris Hunichen who took home $400,000 for his efforts.

The 2018 edition will require as many as 400 players to register in order for the $10 million guarantee to be hit. Partypoker is heavily promoting the event and running as many as seven online satellites which have a $5,200 buy-in. These online satellites have 55 seats to be won and will run from Nov 9 to 11.

$10 Million Guaranteed Main Event

High rollers will also be interested in taking part in the CPP Main Event which also has a $10 million guaranteed prize pool but a much lower buy-in which is set at $5,300. The 2017 Main Event had a $5 million guaranteed prize pool and the winner Sam Greenwood walked away with a whopping $1 million in prize money.

partypoker is also running online satellites for the Main Event. These online satellites run from Nov 10 to 14 and have buy-ins ranging from $550 to $1,100. A total of 250 seats will be made available via these online satellites.
