WSOPC Sydney Returns To The Star Casino From Nov 27 To Dec 17

The Star SydneyAustralian poker players are looking forward to the return of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Sydney which is scheduled to take place from Nov 27 to Dec 17 at the popular Star Casino.

The WSOPC Sydney has attracted poker players not just from Australia but all over Asia and has turned into the biggest in the WSOP’s international tour. The Main Event for the 2016 and 2017 edition saw over 1,000 registrations and the 2018 edition is expected to be bigger and better.

The WSOP has put together an exciting schedule for the 2018 edition as the WSOP has been really impressed with the turnout over the years and the success of the tour stop in Sydney, Australia. The 2018 edition will see 15 tournaments take place over a 21 day period and the highlight will be the Main Event which has a $2,200 buy-in and starts on 07 Dec.

Some of the other exciting events that will take place include the Opening Event which has a $600,000 guarantee; the Monster Stack which has a $400,000 guarantee and the $5k Challenge which has a $1 million guarantee. There is not just a lot of money on the line but also coveted WSOP gold rings as the winner of each of the 15 tournaments will receive a ring.

The winners of the Casino Champion and Main Event will also receive tickets to the 2018 WSOP Global Casino Championship in America which has a $1 million guaranteed prize pool and a WSOP gold bracket on the line.

WSOP Happy With Star Casino Partnership

The WSOP was happy to once again partner with the Star Casino in Sydney which claims to have the best poker room in Australia.

In a statement, Gregory Cochon, WSOP Director said

We were hopeful WSOP Sydney would be one of the largest International Circuit stops, and The Star’s team has done a tremendous job in the promotion and operations of the event. All the players we have discussed the event with have really enjoyed the experience. The event is now one of the most anticipated Circuit stops of the year.

The StarPoker Australia website has also started running satellite events from October 7 which will give poker players the opportunity to win a seat to the WSOPC Sydney event for minimum buy-ins. Every satellite guarantees the player a seat to WSOPC Sydney.
