Unibet Running ‘Online Series IV’ With €350k Up For Grabs

UnibetUnibet is consistently looking for new ways to expand its market presence and strengthen its brand. Unibet belongs to the Kindred Group and is one of the biggest online gambling operators in the world.

The company recently announced that it has signed a sponsorship deal with the Danish eSports organization Astralis. As part of the agreement, Unibet becomes the ‘Official Betting Partner’ for Astralis under a deal worth several million dollars.

Unibet has been tapping the Esports market for a while now, incorporating an Esports Battle Royale into the Unibet Open live tournaments held every year. Just recently, Alan “hotted89” Widmann won his first live poker tournament at Unibet Dublin. He won a €110 Hyper-Turbo topping 72 other participants.

Online Series IV

Unibet has released initial details of its upcoming Online Series – this is the fourth series in the last 12 months. A total of €350,000 in guarantees is up for grabs, including the €100,000 that can be won at the Main Event. Players of all levels (nano, low and high) can take part in 84 events spread across the series, which are mostly Hold’em, though there will also be 9 PLOs. Buy-ins start from €0.10 to €100. Unibet will also be running a Leaderboard offering €25,000 in prizes and a spot in this year’s Battle of Champions where the Leaderboard winners from the Online Series, Unibet Open and Unibet Deepstack Open face each other for the top prize. The winner of the Online Series gets 2 Unibet Open packages, 2 UK Tour packages, 10 Supernova tickets, plus 2 Cash Game Festival packages.

Astralis is World’s No. 1 CS:GO Team

Unibet has stepped up its game by partnering with Astralis, the world’s top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team. Since the Danish team formed in 2016, it has conquered several competitions and has earned over $4 million in prize money, including the $2 million in prize money which it won this year.

Commenting on the deal, Kindred Group’s Chief Commercial Officer Rhodri Darch praised Astralis’ super teamwork and strategic play which perfectly fit with Kindred’s core characteristics. Darch said they are excited to build a partnership with the star of the CS:GO world as eSports continues to grow and attract an increasing fan base from all over the world
