888poker UK Poker LeagueSummary:

  • The town of Luton has been selected to host the latest leg of the brand new 888poker Poker League between March 4-March 10.
  • The March event will mark Leg 3 of the seven scheduled stops of the 888poker UKPL.
  • There will be seven tournaments, including a £1,100 High Roller and a £560 Main Event.

While mostly known for being home to English Premier League’s Luton Town and Europe’s largest one-day carnival, the Luton International Festival, the town of Luton is getting ready for an exciting event aimed at UK poker aficionados.

Leg 3 of the UKPL to Take Place in Luton

Between March 4-March 10, the town will be visited by poker players from all parts of the world, all eager to compete in the latest leg of the 888poker UK Poker League (UKPL).

The latter was born in January 2024 with the help of Grosvenor and 888poker who noticed a gap in low-stakes events in the live poker scene in the UK, with special emphasis on events featuring a mid-stakes £560 buy-in Main Event.

Once the action at the tables started, Jamie Le came out with flying colors in the 888poker UKPL Coventry Main Event, defeating 371 strong opponents and taking home the top prize of £37,605.

In February, the UKPL moved to Edinburgh. There, it was Michael Kane’s turn to walk away with the trophy, the title, as well as a prize of £25,208 after he managed to outlast no less than 310 opponents.

Now, it was announced that Leg 3 of the seven scheduled stops will take place next month in Luton and it will also feature seven tournaments with the mandatory £560 Main Event and £1,100 High Roller.

Live Satellites at Grosvenor G Casino Played in Cashout Format

The live satellites that will take place at the Grosvenor G Casino will be played in a cashout format. This means players will be seated down and benefit from the same starting stack.

To win a seat, their stack must reach a predetermined size, eliminating the long dragging time that is usually a problem with traditional satellites.

Poker players who would rather attend traditional satellites for the UKPL Main Event can use 888poker’s online platform and check out the 888poker UKPL Passport satellites.

A simple $0.50 can easily be turned into a $55 tournament ticket, which will later on grant access to the passport ticket qualifier.

Players are guaranteed a minimum of one £560 UKPL Main Event ticket. Skilled players who win one can enter any future UKPL Main Event part of the schedule.
