PokerStars Set To Host 21 Live Events During 2020

PokerStarsThe New Year is poised to become another huge year for live poker as the world’s largest online poker operator has confirmed it will host 21 live events starting January.

PokerStars will also be offering plenty of chances for players to win the highly-coveted Platinum Pass for the 2020 PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) in Barcelona.

Road to PSPC (France)

France is hosting five Road to PSPC tournaments. The first one has just kicked off on December 16 in Paris, and will run through to December 22. Two Platinum Pass packages are up for grabs at the tournament. The action will then head over to Le Havre on January 15-19, where players can get a shot at two more Platinum tickets.

The three other tournaments will take place in St Amand on February 11-16, La Grande Motte on March 10-15, and Cannes on June 10-14. Each will also give away two Platinum Passes.

Road to PSPC (Spain)

The biggest winner of the inaugural PSPC in January this year, Ramon Colillas, is a Platinum Pass qualifier from Spain. The former fitness instructor from Barcelona turned his Platinum Pass into a $5.1 million victory after outlasting a massive field of 1,039 players.

Next year, Spanish players will get the opportunity to follow in Colillas’s footsteps by taking part in four Road to PSPC Spanish stops taking place in Barcelona on January 13-19, Valencia on March 4-8, Madrid Gran Via on March 31- April 5, and Madrid Torrelodones on July 1-5. Each tournament will award two Platinum packages.

European Poker Tour

One of the most highly-anticipated poker tournaments in the world, the European Poker Tour, will return next year with three stops. The first one will take place in Sochi, Russia on March 20-29, with the other two tournaments scheduled to run in Monte Carlo on April 23-May 2, and Barcelona on August 12-30. Both EPT Sochi and EPT Monte Carlo will each give away one Platinum Pass.

Brazilian Series of Poker

PokerStars Live will also sponsor Brazil’s biggest poker tour, the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP). The tour kicks off in Brasilia on January 30-February 4, and then heads to Sao Paulo on March 19-24. The same city will play host to the BSOP Winter Millions which is scheduled to run on July 15-22. At least one Platinum Pass is up for grabs in all three tournaments.

Manila Events

There are seven major events taking place in Manila next year, two of which will also award a Platinum Pass – Red Dragon Manila on January 4-11, and Manila Megastack 14 on May 22-31.

The five other events include the Okada Manila Millions on March 9-15, Manila Super Series 14 on July 6-12, APPT Manila 2020 on July 31-August 9, Manila Super Series 15 on September 22-28, and Manila Megastack Challenge on December 6-13.
