partypoker U.S networkThe latest edition of the partypoker US Online Network PKO Series finally concluded on August 2. While the US festival was generally successful, the main event suffered an overlay due to a technical glitch.

The $75,000 GTD Main Event ran as a phased multi-flight event, with players able to enter Day 1 with a buy-in of $35. Those who were unable to get in via the week-long starting flights were still given the opportunity to directly buy into Day 2 of the event for $320. Players were also supposed to be allowed to late register, however a software issue prevented them from doing so. This resulted in only 79 players officially getting in, with a total of $27,604 generated via the buy-ins.

Since the glitch was discovered late, partypoker US officials decided to just move on with the tournament and shoulder over $50,000 in overlay. They also maintained the usual payout structure which saw all Day 2 entrants, including those who already busted, collect a minimum cash of $218.
