King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic has raised the guarantee for the €10,350 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event that will take place between Nov. 4 and 10. The guarantee has been increased from €4,000,000 to €5,000,000 and the eventual champion will be taking home over €1,000,000.

In a statement Leon Tsoukernik, owner of King’s Casino said

We are encouraged by the number of early bookings for the WSOPE, so much so that we have raised the total guarantee of the Main Event to €5,000,000 and now guarantee €1,000,000 to the winner. My advice is to book now and secure your spot

The 2017 World Series of Poker Europe is set to kick-off on Oct. 19 and will have 11 bracelet events. The first gold bracelet event will be the €1,100 buy-in Monster Stack No-Limit Hold’em which has a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000.

Tsoukernik stated that the WSOP Europe €111,111 High Roller event which takes place on Nov 3 has already recorded 90 entries. The high stakes event is expected to see the participation of top poker players like Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari and Fedor Holz.

Tsoukernik noted that the demand for the event was so strong that he had to give up his seat and was now going to only act as the host, adding that his €11,000 deposit will be sent to the One Drop charity.

The rising popularity of King’s Casino has established its position as a premier poker destination in Europe.

King’s Casino has recently expanded its gaming area by adding 40 more poker tables. It will also be opening a major portion of a new luxury hotel being constructed on its premises. The hotel will have over 200 rooms and will open to the public on Aug. 10. The opening will take place in midst of another poker tournament called the partypoker German Poker Championships which takes place from Aug. 3-15.

Tsoukernik noted that the casino had attracted over 250,000 poker players to Rozvadov in 2016 and that number could double once the expansion program was completed. The new facilities at King’s Casino would allow poker players to stay longer in town and play more poker events at the casino.

European poker players are looking forward to the beginning of a busy poker season at the King’s Casino which begins with the partypoker German Poker Championships featuring €2,000,000 in total guarantees, followed by the PokerNews Cup and then the first-ever PokerStars Sunday Million Live.
