EPT Will Make First Time Stops At Cyprus and France In 2023

Summary

  • PokerStars has added two stops in Paris and Cyprus as part of the 2023 EPT
  • The first stop for the new EPT season will start in Feb 2023
  • PokerStars is also running satellites for EPT events

PokerStars recently published the schedule for the 2023 European Poker Tour (EPT) and European poker players will be happy to see that France and Cyprus are two new additions to the five confirmed stops.

The company’s Head of Global Live Event Operations Cedric Billot said they’re excited to bring all that the tour has to offer to the two new destinations as they continue to enhance player experience both live and online.

2023 EPT Schedule

The 2023 season of the EPT will get underway in Paris, with the festival taking place from February 15-26 at Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile, in collaboration with Le Club Barriere Paris. While this isn’t the first time that the EPT has stepped on French soil with EPT Deauville forming part of the tour’s schedule from 2005 to 2015, Paris is a completely new French stop.

After Paris, the tour travels to Monte-Carlo for an 11-day series, running from April 26-May 3 at Monte-Carlo Casino. The third stop will be in Barcelona, scheduled for August 21-September 3 at Casino Barcelona. The Barcelona stop is expected to once again attract massive turnouts, after smashing the record for the biggest EPT Main Event field this year with 2,284 entries recorded.

EPT will then head over to Cyprus with the action taking place at the Merit Royal Hotel Casino & Spa from October 11-22. This is a brand-new location for the tour which should delight players and fans who like to travel around the world while taking part in their favorite EPT tournaments.

The Merit Royal Hotel Casino & Spa also hosted the Triton Poker Coin Rivet Invitational back in September which saw Sam Grafton, a Pokerstars ambassador walk away with a career-best $5.5 million after winning the tournament.

The last stop of the 2023 EPT will be at King’s Casino in Prague, with the series taking place from December 6-17.

Online Satellites Available on PokerStars

As usual, each of the stops will feature a Main Event, High Roller, Super High Roller, and a Mystery Bounty tournament, with buy-ins ranging from €3,000 to €100,000.

The 2022 season of the EPT is still ongoing, with the final stop running from December 7-18 at King’s Casino Prague.

PokerStars is hosting online satellites for the 2023 EPT, with qualifiers for EPT Paris already running on the site. Visit the PokerStars website for more details.
