Key Reasons To Play WPT World Online Championships

The World Poker Tour (WPT) World Online Championships is underway at partypoker and is already shaping up to be one of the biggest online festivals of the year.

The massive series kicked off on July 17, and will run through to September 8, featuring a whopping $100 million guarantee!

The festival comes on the heels of the hugely successful WPT Online Series back in May, which ended up awarding more than $50 million in total prize money.

3 Highlights To Consider During July 17 – Sept 8 2020

Have you decided to have a crack at this tournament? If you still have doubts about taking a shot, we’re giving you the key details and the biggest highlights of the series to help you make up your mind. Read on below.

12 Championship Events

The WPT World Online Championships features a total of 12 Championship events, each coming with Mini and Micro editions to accommodate as many players as possible. What more, plenty of satellites will also run throughout the festival to give you the chance to take part for just a small investment.

If that isn’t enough to excite you, five of the 12 Championship events will each give away a ticket to the prestigious WPT Tournament of Champions, giving you that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of the exclusive Champions Club!

The main highlight of the festival is the $10,300 buy-in Main Event which comes with a mouth-watering guarantee of $10 million! But you may also take part in tons of side events that promises incredible value.

Limited Re-entries & Late Registration

If you’re a fan of old-school poker, then this festival is for you. All NLHE events allow single re-entry, and the Championship events also feature just two starting flights, and limited late registration periods.

The festival also requires the use of real names, meaning you’ll get to know the true identities of your opponents.

Leaderboard Race & Tournament Streaming

The championship action will be made available to fans and spectators across the globe, with the final table of each championship event to be livestreamed on partypokerTV, Facebook, and YouTube. Real names of players will also be displayed on the screen to mimic a live WPT final table. The commentary booth will be handled by popular figures from both the WPT and partypoker, including Mike Sexton, Vince Van Patten, Joey Ingram and Matt Savage.

You may also boost your winnings via the leaderboards, which offer $100,000 worth of extra prizes! For the complete details, check out the official websites of the WPT and partypoker.
