Sunday iPoker Tournaments Paying Out Steady Income To Poker Pros

While most of the world decide to take a break on Sunday and relax from their work, online poker pros are working away at different Sunday tournaments and making a steady income.

Some of the top online poker websites such as PokerStars, partypoker and 888poker run a number of attractive Sunday tournaments which online poker pros are quick to take advantage off.

We take a look at some of the players who have filled their pockets in the recent Sunday tournament editions.

PokerStars WCOOP

Among the main attractions of Sunday’s WCOOP at PokerStars was the $2,100 buy-in NLHE Turbo which saw a total of 219 players taking part, generating a huge prize pool of $438,000 which was shared by the top 26 finishers.

All nine players making it to the final table walked away with five-figure payouts, with Canada’s Mike Leah ultimately capturing the title for $85,476. Among those also winning big in the tournament were Sweden’s Andreas “mrAndreeew” Berggren who finished in second place for $65,843 and Dutch poker pro Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira who finished third to collect $50,720.

In WCOOP 37-M: $530 6-Max PLO, Shaun Deeb took home the lion’s share of the $299,500 prize pool after defeating Germany’s “killerrog” heads-up to add another title to his excellent poker resume. Deeb earned $52,371, and he now has eight WCOOP titles under his belt. His German opponent walked away with $36,587 for his second place finish.

partypoker KO Series

partypoker also awarded massive guarantees through the popular KO Series held on September 15. Among the events that offered the biggest prize pools was KO Series #35-HR: $2,100 buy-in 8-Max. The event was played in PKO format, with the winners taking a share of the huge prize pool worth $750,000. Ultimately, the title went to “rifatpalevic” who outclassed a field of 352 entries to take home $148,743 in total winnings.

A second 8-Max event was also held on Sunday, but with a smaller buy-in of $320. It was eventually taken down by “dhilton13“, who earned a total of $101,270, including $51,731 in bounties for finishing on top. Runner-up “Hit-and-run” also won big, scoring $54,788.

888poker Sunday tournaments

Over at 888poker, “Placebo36” from UAE won two titles, the first being the Rake or Break Whale. Placebo36 topped a field of 47 entrants to take home $8,695 as top prize. He also managed to outclass his opponents in the $20,000 Sunday Challenge, during which he transformed his $109 investment into $4,429.
