2021 Irish Open Online Will Run On partypoker Till April 7

It might take quite a while before the Irish Open can finally return to Dublin, with restrictions still in effect across the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But just like last year, players and fans of one of the world’s longest-running poker festival are still being given the opportunity to take part in top-notch action and compete for massive prizes as the series is once again being held online on partypoker.

Irish Open Online kicked off on March 26 and will run through April 7, featuring a wide array of events, with buy-ins starting from as low as €22 all the way up to €5,200. All in all, there are 27 events to choose from, with various formats and mini versions thrown into the mix.

Apart from the traditional No-Limit Hold’em, players can also find some Pot Limit Omaha, Deepstack, Progressive Knockout, Heads-Up, Turbo, 6-Max and full ring events on the schedule.

€1,100 Irish Open Main Event

The festival will culminate in the €1,100 buy-in Main Event which comes with a massive €1 million guarantee. Players can enter into the event via three starting flights, the first of which already ran on March 28. Day 1B takes place on April 4, while Day 1C runs on April 5, and on the same day, surviving players from all three flights will battle it out until a winner is crowned.

Players may also earn a seat into the Main Event for a fraction of the price via a Mega Satellite which costs just €109 to enter. It will award 100 Main Event tickets worth €110,000. You can win your way into that satellite from as low as €0.01.

In 2020, the Irish Open Main Event attracted a huge field of almost 3,000 entries, ultimately topped by Pablo Silva from Brazil who took home €462,100 after winning the tournament.

Other Highlights

Apart from the Main Event, other key tournaments to watch out for include some old classics making a return, such as the €250K GTD Grand Prix Ireland (March 28 – April 5), and the €50K GTD Hendon Mob Championship (March 31).

You may also consider taking part in the €250K GTD JP Masters (April 2-4), €50K GTD Dublin Deepstack (March 29), and the €30K GTD Omaha Knockout (April 1). The schedule also features a €109 buy-in, €100K GTD Mini Main Event which runs from April 5-7.

If you are into high-stakes action, there are high roller tournaments just for you. The biggest of them is the €5,200 buy-in, €250K GTD Super High Roller which takes place on April 6.
