Inaugural PAPC To Take Place in Tallinn, Estonia

The Estonian capital of Tallinn will be the venue of the inaugural Patrik Antonius Poker Challenge (PAPC) which is due to take place from April 1 to 7. Players will gather at the Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Tallinn Park for a week of action-packed events.

The festival, which is sponsored by Finnish poker pro Patrik Antonius’ new poker social media app First Land of Poker (FLOP), is set to feature 52 events, along with the launch of the new app.

Teresa Nousiainen who has designed numerous EPT events, was the one who designed the schedule for this inaugural event.

Patrik Antonius alongside some of the most prominent names in the world of poker will be present for this poker tournament.

With $12 million in live poker tournament cashes under his belt, Antonius is considered one of the best well-rounded poker professionals in the world. He currently sits at the top of Finland’s All Time Money List with over $11 million in prize money.

Festival Highlights

The seven-day festival promises both fun and action for players of all levels, with buy-ins ranging from as low as €60 to as high as €25,000. Among the highlights of the tournament are the televised high-stakes cash games which will see Antonius take part along with American poker pro Daniel “jungleman12” Cates and other top poker players.

Some of the other events to watch out for include the PAPC €25,000 High Roller which will take place on April 3. It will be a single-day deepstack event, with 50,000 starting chips and 30-minute blind levels. Only one re-entry is allowed within the late registration period which closes right after the end of seven blind levels. Players get to experience the use of an advanced dynamic shot clock, as well as a new post-flop concept introduced by Antonius.

The main highlight of the festival is the €1,500 Main Event, taking place between April 4-7, with 30,000 in starting chips played in 60-minute blind levels. Unlimited re-entries are permitted until the conclusion of the first blind level on Day 2.

There will also be a €10,200 Championship Event which kicks off on April 6, with the winner being determined on April 7.

Satellites and Qualifiers

A number of satellites will run throughout the tournament, with affordable buy-ins. Online qualifiers will also take place at OlyBet Poker each Sunday, offering players the chance to win a seat to the Main Event for just €250.
