Canadians Can Now Win Three WSOP Online Bracelets In October

Summary

  • WSOP.ca will host three WSOP online bracelet events in October
  • Poker players based in Ontario will be able to have a crack at these events
  • The three events bring a combined prize pool of $450,000

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is one of the biggest poker brands in the world as the company has decades of experience in promoting itself and distancing itself from the competition.

That’s exactly what the WSOP is trying to do online in Canada as WSOP.ca is looking to establish itself and capture market share with its recent entry in Ontario.

WSOP.ca Hosting Three Online Bracelet Events

The WSOP has expanded its brand significantly in recent years by offering prestigious WSOP bracelet events to online poker players. The WSOP was initially offering online bracelet events to players in the United States and Europe via its WSOP Europe stop in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.

Canadian poker players who wanted a shot at an online WSOP bracelet would have to go to select states in the United States which offer online poker. Now, they no longer have to enter the United States as WSOP.ca is offering 3 online bracelet events in Canada.

The first WSOP online bracelet event will be the The BIG Ontario MILLION$ event has a buy-in of CA$150 and features a $100,000 prize pool and the final day is set for Oct 23. The second event is The Omaholic Bounty MILLION$ has a buy-in of CA$210 and a $100,000 prize pool and the final stage is set for Oct 30.

The third event is The GGMasters Online Championship which has a buy-in of CA$1,050, is a freezout and has a $250,000 prize pool and is set for Oct 30.

Canadian Players Over 19 Can Participate

Players who are over 19 years old will be allowed to participate in these WSOP online bracelet events but they will have to be physically located within Ontario. The CA$1,050 GGMasters Online Championship is expected to attract a big turnout as this will be the biggest guaranteed prize pool in Ontario since online poker became legal.

If those buy-ins seem a little out of your range, WSOP.ca is also running a number of MTT satellite events for much lower buy-ins. Check out the WSOP.ca page to find out the dates and schedule for these satellite events.
